How to use the Mouritz Shop

How to use the shop

Go to the Mouritz shop and add items to your basket (cart). Checkout will take you through PayPal. When entering your address please ensure your country is selected so shipping costs are calculated correctly.

Shipping costs: add items to your cart, go to your cart, and then choose ‘estimate shipping’. Please note that for most international post outside Europe, the categories are up to 1kg, 2kg, 4kg, and 10kg.

When you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email of your order. (If it does not arrive, then please check your spam folder.) When the order is despatched, you will receive a confirmation email of the despatch.

You can also order with payment by bank transfer.

Reset password

When resetting your password you will receive an email to reset your password. Be aware it may take some ten minutes to receive such an email. (If it has not arrived, check your spam box.)

Despatch times

Mouritz is a small  mail order bookshop. Depending on the number of orders we receive we go to the post office normally twice a week: Monday/Tuesday, and Thursday/Friday.

Delivery times

Normal delivery times from date of posting

  • Austria: 2–3 days.
  • Europe: 1–2 weeks.
  • North America: 3-4 weeks.
  • Rest of the World: 3-6 weeks.

The above delivery estimates do not take into account any Covid-19 measures. Covid restrictions may apply locally and travel restrictions may affect international air travel which causes delay to postal deliveries.

Order not arrived?

When we despatch your order you will receive an email notification from us. If you have not received it (check your spam folder as well), then log into your account and check that the order status is "Shipped" and you can see the date this happened.

Most orders are not tracked as they are sent by ordinary air mail. If your order confirmation email (also available when you log in),gives a tracking number then please check it.

If

  1. your tracking number has not updated in several days, or
  2. your order should have arrived by now, or
  3. if it shows the order as delivered and you haven't receive it,

check with your local post office to see if they may be holding the order. Sometimes the post may have tried to deliver and the card telling you to pick up from the post office may go missing.

Since some packages can be misdelivered it's also a good idea to check outside your home or with neighbours. Sometimes the post office will hide a shipment or leave it with a neighbour if no one is home to accept it.

Coronavirus COVID19

Please note that international deliveries are subject to delays due to less air traffic and due to the authorities in some countries applying special measures.

Error message in the checkout system

If there are any difficulties with the checkout system (e.g. the weight exceeds what is automatically calculated), you can order by emailing Mouritz (see contact form), stating the order and full postal address. Mouritz can then issue a paypal invoice whereby you can use your credit card to pay through the paypal website.

Western characters only

Name and address has to be in Western characters. The Post Office cannot process any paper work in non-western characters. If you wish to add instructions re delivery in your own language (e.g. "Deliver between 9am and 5pm") then add these in the comment box when placing your order. Such instructions will be printed out and attached to your parcel separately from the address label.

Holiday closures

Mouritz is closed over Christmas, Easter, and two or three weeks during the summer. For dates please see Contact Mouritz.
