Elisabeth Walker (1914-2013) was a pioneer teacher of the Alexander Technique and her memoirs spans 95 years of her life. She trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique in 1938, qualifying in 1947 together with her husband, Dick. Her memoirs cover her family's 12-year sojourn in South Africa, their many travels in Europe, especially mountaineering and the outdoor life. She describes Alexander's training course, teaching the Technique, running a teachers' training course in Oxford for fifteen years, and giving workshop and master classes to teachers of the Alexander Technique in many countries around the world.
