Mouritz description:
Elisabeth Walker (1914-2013) was a pioneer teacher of the Alexander Technique and her memoirs spans 95 years of her life. She trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique in 1938, qualifying in 1947 together with her husband, Dick. Her memoirs cover her family's 12-year sojourn in South Africa, their many travels in Europe, especially mountaineering and the outdoor life. She describes Alexander's training course, teaching the Technique, running a teachers' training course in Oxford for fifteen years, and giving workshop and master classes to teachers of the Alexander Technique in many countries around the world. But mostly it is about travels. Illustrated with 225 photographs.
