The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) was founded in the UK in 1958 or 1959 by Dr Wilfred Barlow, Marjory Barlow and Joyce Warwick.

Publications
STAT publishes a newsletter, STATNews, for its members and a journal on the Alexander Technique, The Alexander Journal. For members it holds an annual conference.
STATNews
STATNews is STAT’s newsletter for its members. It was first issued in 1983, and is currently being published three times a year.
The Alexander Journal
The Alexander Journal was first issued in 1962. To date 26 issues have been published.
STATBooks
STATBooks was a mail order book shop run by STAT 1991-2002.[2] STATBooks is also the imprint of books published by STAT on the Alexander Technique.

STAT maintains an archive of material on the Alexander Technique and related subjects.
STAT is a member of The Alexander Technique Affiliated Societies (ATAS).
